During the night, Russian aerial assaults have caused electricity outages in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.
A number of civilians were injured while inhabitants in the city's east were plunged into darkness and faced problems to drinking water, per reports from municipal leaders.
At the same time, a minor was fatally injured in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, based on information from area administrators.
Moscow has intensified assaults on energy facilities over recent weeks, while the country's government has called for "substantial measures" from international partners to apply pressure on Moscow.
"What's needed is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the United States, the EU and the G7 - in providing protection systems and applying restrictions," mentioned in a public message.
Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty missiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.
The energy minister said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were working to restore power.
A wave of strikes damaged electrical systems and apartment buildings in the capital.
Multiple people hurt in the strikes on the capital have been taken to hospital, according to local officials.
Regional authorities said the metropolitan region came under significant strikes overnight. A seven-year-old child died and multiple civilians were wounded.
The strikes succeed periods of bombing campaigns in the area, sections of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.
The whole nation is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to identify.
Authorities told the media that Moscow was deliberately attempting to damage the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already disrupting energy systems.
He said technical personnel and government agencies were preparing for further attacks.
